I was born in San Diego in 1995, but my most formative memories began when my family moved to the Antelope Valley when I was seven years old to plant a church. In the early days, our congregation consisted of my family, a sweet elderly woman we would pick up from a nursing home—whom we lovingly called Grandma Janice—and the occasional homeless individual we would meet at the park (and sometimes their dog).
That journey began over 20 years ago, and it has shaped nearly every aspect of who I am today. From the humblest of beginnings, God has grown our church into blessings we could have never imagined. I met my beautiful wife, Jasmine, at our church when I was 14 and she was 12. We were married in 2020 (the COVID year—about as fun as you’d imagine!), and the past five years of marriage have been incredible. In 2024, we welcomed our son, Sawyer, into the world. Becoming a parent has shown us a deeper meaning of love, and he has truly been our greatest blessing.
I deeply love the transformative power of the blood of Jesus Christ, the perfect truth of His Word, and I strive to see people the way God sees them. I know without a shadow of a doubt that Jesus is the answer for this world; and Jesus LOVES the Antelope Valley!
I am married to the most beautiful, kind, and caring woman on the planet! Her name is Jasmine and we met for the first time at Rushing Wind Church in 2009.
My name is Antonio Buford and I have served the Lord since 1981 in Antioch California. I repented of my sins and was baptized in the beautiful name of Jesus and the Lord filled me with his wonderful gift of the Holy Ghost according to Acts 2:38-39.
I am the proud father of one son named Jonathan who was born in 2004, whom I love dearly. I joined Rushing Wind Church in 2017 and serve in many capacities including: bible study teacher, preaching, prayer team coordinator, musician, and I teach and offer guitar lessons at our church. My love for God is immense and I am thankful for his grace, love, and protection daily.
One of my favorite Bible verses is Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
I am married to Wendy Johnson since 1992 with two children, Nathan, and Andrew, with 3 grandchildren (and one on the way). I work for a global technology company as a Consultant and Network Administrator for over 25 years.
My interests include study and teaching the Bible, along with teaching music theory (drums), as well as youth basketball. My hobbies include golf, basketball, softball, weightlifting and swimming.
I have been saved since 1981 and have been a member of Rushing Wind since 2017. During which time I have headed up the homeless outreach ministry, been the lead sound engineer for all services, as well as a backup bass player on the praise team.
I have been saved since 1997. It was at a District Youth Rally in Los Angeles California where I gave my life to Christ. I have been attended Rushing Wind Church since 2017 and was added to our Ministerial staff a year and a half later.
Prior to attending Rushing Wind Church, I pastored a church in the Midwest, and worked as a Youth Pastor and Assistant Pastor for many years prior to that. I’ve been preaching and ministering the gospel for well over 20 years. Professionally, I am the Director of Airports Labor Relations for the Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA).
My background is in representing both civil service employees and private sector employees. I serve on the board of Directors for the Southern California Public Management Association for Human Resources.
I am the proud husband to Janine, and have two wonderful children, Isaiah and Jayla.
I currently serve as the Starting Point Director and serve on the Ministerial Staff here at Rushing Wind Church. I also serve in several areas of ministry including leading small groups, preaching, and serve as an Elder at Rushing Wind Church. I have been serving the Lord since 1993 and joined Rushing Wind Church several years ago.
I am a proud father of three children and four grandchildren.
In my free time, I enjoy babysitting my grandchildren and I am grateful for all that God has done and continues to do in my family’s life.
